WELCOME

Welcome to Orion Studio Pilates, the only fully equipped, boutique Pilates studio, in the Yarrawonga & Palmerston area.

Pilates is an exercise methodology that provides immense benefits for your body and mind. It evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates, using a system of exercises that includes mat and a variety of specially designed equipment.   

My focus is to teach with care, intention and integrity to all clients, in every session.

Here at Orion Studio Pilates, a program is created that is specific to your needs, goals and abilities, from the beginner through to professional athletes. These detailed programs will teach you body awareness, good posture and improve flexibility, agility and strength.

ABOUT ME: Fiona Dempsey

I was born in Katherine (NT) but have lived all over Australia and overseas. The Territory is in my blood and having moved back here permanently in 2013, I am very happy to call Darwin my home.

 

As a client recovering from major surgery, I discovered Pilates in 2006. I was lucky enough to move from Real Estate Project Marketing and turn my passion for Pilates into a life-changing career.

Through Polestar Pilates Australia, I received my full Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction, at the same time owning a successful Pilates studio on the Gold Coast.

After having the privilege to work at other Darwin studios, 2017 was an amazing year that enabled me to find a beautiful space and open my own boutique Pilates studio in the emerging Yarrawonga/Palmerston area.

 

I look forward to sharing my love of Pilates with all my clients. Every body is different and I tailor the sessions to your needs and work closely with other Allied Health Professionals to help clients achieve their goals.

 

Outside the studio, you will find me walking my dogs, dirt bike riding, mountain bike riding and enjoying the fabulous Territory sunsets.

Reformer Workout

STUDIO PILATES

Studio sessions offer a more personalised approach with the ratio of 3 or 4 clients per teacher. They are specifically designed workouts using state-of-the-art Pilates equipment and apparatus tailored to your body's unique requirements.

PRIVATE SESSIONS

The benefits of a 45 minute Private Pilates session start with having my undivided attention. The explanation, choice and instructions of the exercises are tailored to your specific body and mind. The flow on effects and benefits are:

  •  Improved technique in the Pilates methodology.

  • Better execution of exercises.

  •  Increased body awareness.

  • Faster progression and results of strength and flexibility or recovery from injury.

In these sessions you will have the opportunity to work with all the Pilates apparatus.

$90/session Casual Rate 

$80/session if purchasing 2 or more sessions in advance 

Reformer Workout

SEMI-PRIVATE SESSIONS

During a Semi-Private session  each client is taught according to their individual needs. Over the course of the 50 minute session, you will be guided through a series of exercises and stretches that are designed to help your body, while under supervision from the teacher.

As you gain more strength and control, these exercises will be progressed to challenge you.

$50/session casual rate

$45/session for 2 or more sessions paid in advance

NEW CLIENT INITIAL CONSULTATION

45 minute one-on-one consultation for all new clients who have not participated in any Studio Pilates and are wishing to start Private or Semi-Private sessions. This Initial Consultation introduces the new client to the Pilates methodology in a safe and private environment. I will review your physical & postural form and work with you to determine your strengths/weaknesses and goals. This will help to program the following sessions to suit your needs.

Senior Yoga Class

MAT PILATES

Mat Pilates is a series of exercises designed specifically to be performed on a mat.

The classes are designed to encompass a full body workout to improve your strength, posture and mobility.

Classes offer progressions from the basic Pilates foundation exercises through to more challenging sequences to strengthen abdominals, improve balance and coordination.

These classes are suitable for people without significant injuries who are wishing to work at a gentle to intermediate pace with variations given depending on your ability.

GENERAL TERMS and CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings (Initial Consultations, Private and Semi-Private sessions and Reformer classes). 

1. INITIAL SESSIONS: are pre-booked via phone or email. Payment will be on the day of the session (Cash, EFTPOS, Credit Card) or via EFT to the following account:

2. CANCELLATION POLICY: The full fee will be charged for cancellations made within the 12 hour period of your session commencing.

3. MEDICAL CLEARANCE: Please note - as with all exercise programs, a doctor's clearance is advised.

4. SAFETY and HYGIENE: grip socks must be worn during your session.
